Who are we?

The Society is supported by the generosity of the community it serves. The Cambridge and District Humane Society depends on volunteers to assist in fulfilling its mandate.
What do we do?
The Cambridge and District Humane Society (an OSPCA affiliate) cares for homeless dogs, cats and other animals in need of temporary shelter. It looks for suitable new homes and provides education to the community on how to care for the newly adopted pet. The Society also acts as a temporary shelter for lost animals while awaiting return to their rightful owners. As well, the Humane Society responds to and investigates allegations of cruelty to and neglect of animals.
