Ohenewa Akuffo was born in North York, Ontario and she was relocated to Ghana, Africa at the age of three with her parents. After spending five years of her childhood there, at the age of eight, her family returned to Canada and settled in Brampton, Ontario.

Ohenewa's journey to the sport of wrestling started in first year high school at Ascension Secondary School in Mississauga, Ontario. Shortly afterwards, her family moved to Brampton where she wrestled for St. Augustine Secondary School and continued at the Matman Wrestling Club where she quickly blossomed in the sport. At the age of 17, she made her first Senior National Wrestling Team and represented Canada in the World Championships. Ohenewa currently lives in Brampton where she is still coached by Dave Mair, the same coach since her first World Championships.

Throughout her career in wrestling, Ohenewa has travelled around the world competing in numerous competitions ranging from the World Championships in Tokyo, Japan to representing Canada at the 2008 Beijing Olympics to the Pan American Games in Dominican Republic, where she has accomplished many feats over that past 18 years.

In 2009, she worked with ChangeTheWorld: Ontario Youth Volunteer Challenge to promote the importance of volunteering and what the difference youth can make in their lives as well as in their communities.

Giving her time to her church Kingdom Covenant Ministries is Ohenewa favorite thing to do. She shares her expertise in financial and bodily prosperity by creating and teaching courses to her fellow church members.

Other than volunteering, Ohenewa likes spending quality time with her family and friends. In 2011, she completed a Bachelor of Administration Studies with Honors in Marketing and a Certificate of Management and Sports Administration at York University.

At the fabulous age of 33, Ohenewa's career is going strong with many successful competitions under her belt, she continues to train towards her goal in her sport to be the best female wrestler in the World.
