Has Canada finally arrived? There is going to be a Canadian version of the world famous Monopoly Game Board and whether we qualify to be represented is totally in the hands of the people who love Cambridge. We are noe a Wild Card Location.

Instructions

MONOPOLY is launching a new Canadian Edition and is inviting Canadians to vote for their favourite cities. The vote will determine the top 20 cities and the top 2 wildcard cities that will be the property spaces on the MONOPOLY Canada game board. Please vote for your friend’s cities or choose your own cities!

Every day you are able to vote for up to 3 of your favourite Canadian cities from our pre-selected list and to nominate one city not on the list as a wildcard. To do so, select a city from the map and add to your cities, or enter your wildcard city in the designated area. To keep the vote fair, you will be asked to register and to verify your email address via an email you will receive once your registration is received. Happy voting!

About Us

The Monopoly.com and Monopoly Canada Voting sites are controlled by Hasbro, Inc. ("Hasbro"), a corporation incorporated under the laws of the State of Rhode Island, USA, with a principal place of business at 1027 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket, RI 02862 USA.

Terms Of Website Use

By using the Monopoly.com and the Monopoly Canada Voting sites you agree to the following terms:

Voting on the site

The website will be open for voting from January 11, 2010 through February 21, 2010 (the “Voting Period”), with voting on the top 20 pre-selected cities open from January 11, 2010 through February 7, 2010, and voting from February 8, 2010 through February 21, 2010 on only the top 10 wildcard city nominations

From January 11, 2010 through February 21, 2010, each person providing their email address will be allowed to cast one vote per day for each of up to 3 of the pre-selected cities and one wildcard city. From February 8, 2010 through February 21, 2010, registered users will be allowed to vote once per day for one of the top 10 vote-getting wildcard cities nominated. Only one vote per city per day will be counted. For purposes of voting, a day is the 24-hour period starting at midnight EST each day during the Voting Period.

A list of the 20 pre-selected cities and the 10 wildcard city nominations with the most valid votes will be posted on a leader board on the website. The leader board for the top 20 pre-selected cities will be available until January 29, 2010. The leader board for the top 10 wildcard cities will be available until February 16, 2010. The city with the most votes will be listed as the most valuable property on the board (one of the dark blue spaces), the city with the second most votes will be assigned the second most valuable property, and so on.

The leader board for pre-selected cities will not be displayed after January 29, 2010, but votes for pre-selected cities will be accepted through February 7, 2010. The leader board for the wildcard cities will not be displayed after February 16, 2010, but votes for wildcard cities will be accepted through February 21, 2010.

After February 21, 2010 no further votes will be accepted.

The final board of the top 22 locations determined from all valid votes cast will be displayed in June 2010.

Editorial Control

Hasbro retains final editorial discretion and control over all editions of the MONOPOLY game and reserves the right to disqualify cities nominated or selected through voting misconduct, or mistake or error, with names which may be deemed offensive, or for other reasons which Hasbro in its discretion deems appropriate.
