Whetham Throws Hat Into Ring
This week Cambridge City Councillor Linda Whetham filed her nomination papers for Mayor, at city hall.

“I am running for Mayor because we need to take this city back to basic issues” she said.

We should concentrate on projects that would fit everyone's needs; like safe drinking water, clean air, projects people really want, like: pools , rinks, community centres and safe downtowns.

Linda went on to say “I am concerned that our tax dollars are not being channeled to best suit the needs of all our citizens.

We need to address the needs of all our taxpayers and their families.

As a councillor for the last 10 years and as the current General Committee Chairperson, I am more than prepared to lead our city in a more positive and practical direction that includes everyone in Cambridge”.

A Mayor should be approachable and compassionate to all the city's people.
