Regional Police Investigating Death of Infant on Byton Lane in Cambridge
One Year Old Boy Dies

Waterloo Region, Ontario Waterloo Regional Police are investigating the death of an infant from a residence on Byton Lane in Cambridge. 

On May 4, 2021, just after 2 p.m., Emergency Services responded to a medical incident involving a one-year-old boy. Upon arrival, the young child was located unresponsive and was transported to hospital and later pronounced deceased.  

Members of Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Major Crime Unit are continuing to investigate the incident, in conjunction with the Coroner’s Office. 

The Major Crime Unit is mandated to investigate all cases of death involving children under five years of age.
